The Ibex 35 has risen 0.23% to 9,925.40 points, driven by the 2.22% gains that BBVA has recorded after presenting its results. The selective Spanish has marked an intraday maximum at 9,947 points and continues to stalk the 10,000 points, after closing the week with a rise of 0.4%. The group of European exchanges has recorded more outstanding earnings than the selective Spanish, in a day full of business results.

BBVA (+ 2.22%) obtained, between January and March 2018, an attributed result of 1,340 million euros, 11.8% higher than the profit for the same period of 2017 (+ 22.3% in constant terms) and the highest quarterly result in the last three years. This favorable result has occurred despite the fall in margins.
The attributed result of CaixaBank (+ 1.82%) in the first quarter increased to 704 million, which represents an improvement of 74.7%. This evolution affects the growth of revenues and the reduction of losses due to the deterioration of financial assets and other provisions.
The most bullish values of the day were Siemens Gamesa (+ 3.94%) and Técnicas Reunidas (+ 2.75%). Among the large stocks, Inditex rose 0.71%, followed by Santander (+ 0.38%) and Iberdrola (+ 0.31%). On the negative side, Telefónica fell by 0.08%.
For its part, Bankia (-0.47%) reported a fall in its net profit of 24.5%. The entity explained that this reduction is due to the lower result obtained from financial operations, the impact on the interest margin of maturities and the sale of fixed-income portfolios, and the non-recurring profit from the sale of Globalvia that was registered in the first quarter of 2017.
Within the Ibex, the cuts in Ferrovial (-1.03%), which it announced on Thursday after the closing that foresees to record an additional provision of 208 million pounds (236 million euros) in relation to a contract with the City Council, have stood out of Birmingham managed by a subsidiary of Amey. Although the lowest value of the Ibex has been Cellnex (-3.72%).
