Premios Emmys 2020: Watchmen, Schitt’s Creek y Succession entre las grandes vencedoras

La ceremonia número 72 de los premios Primetime Emmy se ha llevado a cabo, virtualmente, este domingo por la noche, transmitida por ABC y conducida por Jimmy Kimmel.

Entre las ganadoras, han triunfado Watchmen en la categoría de miniserie, Schitt’s Creek en la de comedia y Succession en la de drama.

Entre las sorpresa de la noche, el premio a Zendaya como Mejor Actriz de Drama por Euophoria o el de Julia Garner, como Mejor Actriz de Reparto de Drama por Ozark.

Este año, Watchmen de HBO lideraba precisamente el grupo con 26 nominaciones en total, incluidas las de Mejor Serie Limitada y las estrellas Regina King y Jeremy Irons. The Marvelous Mrs.Maisel de Amazon ocupó el segundo lugar con 20 asentimientos totales, seguida de Ozark de Netflix y Succession de HBO (que obtuvieron 18 cada una).

En cuanto a los medios de comunicación, Netflix tenía derechos de fanfarronear este año con 160 (!) Nominaciones totales frente a las 107 de HBO. Completando el Top 5 estaban NBC (47), ABC (36) y FX (33).

En los Creative Arts Emmy Awards, que este año se llevaron a cabo durante cinco noches, The Mandalorian y Watchmen totalizaron siete victorias cada uno, mientras que Saturday Night Live acumuló seis.
