Juego de Tronos, Mr. Robot, The Americans y Downton Abbey entre las nominadas a los Emmy 2016

Se han dado a conocer las nominaciones a los Premios Emmy 2016 en las que dominan series como Juego de Tronos y Mr Robot, la primera de ellas, estando nominada como Mejor Drama y en las categorías de actrices de reparto, para Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, y Maisie Williams, y actores de reparto para Peter Dinklage (que ya ganó el año pasado) y atención: Kit Harington! que por fin se lleva una nominación por su interpretación de Jon Snow en el drama de HBO.

Entre los actores de drama, se repiten nombres de otros años como Kevin Spacey, por House of Cards, aunque este año Rami Malek podría ser el ganador por Mr. Robot, que también tiene nominación a Mejor Drama.

The Americans es otra serie que destaca al recibir nominación tanto como Mejor Drama, como al Mejor Actor para Matthew Rhys.

En el apartado de actrices de drama, destaca sobre todo la nominación a Tatiana Maslany por Orphan Black, frente a otras «eternas» nominadas como Claire Daines. 

En las comedias, Anthony Anderson ha destacado entre los nominados a Mejor Actor, precisamente porque él era junto a Lauren Graham (Las Chicas Gilmore) quen presentaba las nominaciones. Su serie Blac-ish también ha sido nominada también así como su actriz principal, Tracee Ellis Ross. 

Otras comedias nominadas han sido Modern Family, Unbrekeable Kimmy Schmidt, Veep y Transparent.

En el apartado de serie limitada, American Crime: The People vs. O.J Simpson y The Night Manager son de las que más nominaciones se han llevado, la primera con nominaciones Sarah Paulson o, mientras que la segunda han destacado a Tom Hiddleston y Hugh Laurie así como Olivia Colman. Otros títulos destacados en este apartado ha sido Roots.

En números, dominan HBO y Juego de Tronos con 23 nominaciones, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story le sigue con 22 nominaciones y Fargo que logra 18 nominaciones (esto hace que FX haya acumulado 30 nominaciones).

Los ganadores del Emmy 2016 se darán a conocer la noche del domingo 18 de septiembre en una ceremonia conducida por Jimmy Kimmel.
