Breaking Bad arrasa en los Premios Emmy 2014

Se ha celebrado la ceremonia de entrega de los Premios Emmy 2014 y a pesar de que todas las quinielas apuntaban a que True Detective sería una de las grandes vencedoras lo cierto es que se ha tenido que ir practicamente de vacío ante la temporada final de Breaking Bad.

La serie de AMC se ha presentado por última vez a los Emmy y quizás por ello la Academia americana de la televisión ha querido premiarla en casi todas las categorías en las que estaba nominada. Premio a Mejor Serie de Drama, Mejor Actor (Bryan Cranston gana por cuarta vez por su papel de Walter White), Mejor Actor de reparto, Mejor Actriz de Reparto e inclusive Mejor Guión Dramático.

En el apartado de comedia Modern Family ya puede presumir de ser la serie de comedia que más veces se ha llevado el Emmy de manera consecutiva (un total de cinco) aunque en los apartados interpretativos han sido Julia Louis-Dreyfus y Jim Parsons, por Veep y The Big Bang Theory, los que han ganado como Mejor Actriz y Mejor Actor respectivamente (también este gana por cuarta vez).

Fargo se ha coronado como mejor miniserie, mientras que The Normal Heart ha sido la mejor tv movie. Además la gala ha tenido momentos memorables como el premio a Jessica Lange como Mejor Actriz de miniserie por American Horror Story: Coven o el que se ha llevado Julianna Margullies como Mejor Actriz de drama por The Good Wife.

Además Sherlock ha tenido también su momento destacado al ganar sus dos protagonistas, Benedict Cumberbatch y Martin Freeman como Mejor Actor y Actor de reparto respectivamente en la categoría de miniserie.

¿Las grandes derrotadas? Pues Juego de Tronos (aunque esta arrasó en los Emmy creativos hace días), la mencionada True Detective, Orange is the new black o Mad Men que este año se ha ido de vacío por completo.
