The Ibex 35 has recovered positions with enthusiasm this Thursday after the bulky falls of the past day. The selective has risen 1.34%, to 9,074.10 points, with most of its titles in green. The rest of European stocks, which also cut strongly, have also advanced, although somewhat more moderately than the selective Spanish.

On the business scene, Aena has risen eagerly after receiving a valuation rise from Deutsche Bank to 164 euros per share, with a potential upside of 15% over the market price.

In addition, Repsol has also progressed with joy in step with the rise in the price of oil, which continues to renew its annual highs day after day, due to the forecast of a greater global demand for crude oil in the coming months.

Finally, the indictment of Ignacio Sánchez Galán, president of Iberdrola, for the Villarejo case continues. The manager has indicated that he is "delighted" to collaborate with the justice system and the company has defended his management in a relevant fact referred to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

APPOINTMENT WITH THE BANK OF ENGLAND

At the monetary level, the main event of the day was the monetary policy meeting of the Bank of England. The agency has recognized that the rise in prices in the short term "may be greater than expected", but has maintained the rates and the asset purchase program unchanged, as expected.

In addition, there is a meeting of the European Council, in which it continues to work on the banking union and also on the exit from the pandemic.

Likewise, in Spain the latest revision of the GDP for the first quarter was published (it has fallen by 0.4%) and in Germany, the IFO for June (the business climate index rose to 101.8 points).

S&P ANTICIPATES MORE GROWTH IN SPAIN

As a positive factor for our country, the S&P Global agency has revised up its forecast for GDP growth in Spain in 2021 to 6.3%, compared to the 5.7% it anticipated in mid-March, due to the "grand reopening" of the European economies. Our country, after being the most affected by Covid, will be the one that will grow the most until the end of 2022 in the euro zone.

In the United States, the latest revision of the GDP for the first quarter has confirmed growth of 6.4%, and weekly jobless claims have remained at 411,000.

On the other hand, the infrastructure plan promoted by Joe Biden in the United States to promote economic recovery is closer to being approved, after Republicans and Democrats have brought their positions significantly closer in the latest negotiations.

According to US media reports, the senators who are negotiating the plan with the White House will meet with the president on Thursday to present a scheme that includes a spending commitment of about $ 559 billion on roads, bridges and other projects.

JOHN MCAFEE

The eccentric creator of the McAfee antivirus, John McAfee, has been found dead, presumably by suicide, in his Barcelona jail cell, shortly after the National Court approved his extradition to the United States to face tax evasion charges, as reported by his lawyers.

McAfee's lawyer in Spain informed Reuters that the founder of McAfee Associates apparently hanged himself. "We have received confirmation from our legal team in Spain that John was found dead in his cell," said Nishay Sanan, McAfee's Chicago attorney. "I am saddened by the news of the events and my prayers go out to his wife, Janice."
